Mini Holiday Haul
August 07, 2013Bonjour,
While I was on holiday, I really didn't do a whole lot of shopping. I half-expected to, as there are tons of quaint little arty stalls along the beach front which sell interesting jewellery and other trinkets, but somehow I was able to restrain myself this year, and didn't actually even buy anything from there. However, I did go shopping in the nearest big shopping centre, and I bought two things: a beautiful cameo necklace and a jacket.
Cameo Necklace from Ale-Hop, €5
I really love this necklace, it was one of those must-have buys! I have quite a few long necklaces in a silvery kind of colour, but only one other in bronzish-gold, which I wear all the time.
Forest Green Jacket from Lefties, €7.99
I'm one of those people that goes from thick winter coats straight to light summery cardigans, and suffers the general consequences in between. I've bought jackets in the past and never really worn them much, as as soon as the weather's warm enough not to wear my lovely green parka I find I'm in the mood for summer. But when I saw this I knew I had to have it - it's a lovely deep forest green, which I think comes out better on the second photo, with a mauve lining and a zip that, oddly, goes all the way round the back of the neck. That was what I noticed about it in the first place - the second thing I noticed was the price. It was in the sales in Lefties (which I gather is a Spanish shop, as I've only ever seen it over there), and reduced from €19.99 to an unbelievable €7.99! At such a bargain price, I bought it there and then, and I can see it becoming a staple in my autumn wardrobe.
Aside from birthday presents for my mum, that's really all I bought while on holiday.
